The Meaning of Colors
Red: color of strength strong passion, power, and will. Linked to sexual energy; can indicate an active person with lots of energy; darker shades can reflect stronger emotions, even anger; can also indicate a creative person.
Orange: the color of fun, creativity and generosity, warmth, and thoughtfulness. A bright and optimistic person.
Yellow: Intelligence, happiness, curious by nature, a person who prefers to take the lead.
Green: color of healing, peaceful, emotional balance and compassion; a person who is honest and helpful.
Blue: Spiritual understanding; a person who is usually perceptive; has a need for calm and is deeply involved in their work, sometimes to the point of neglecting other things; someone who is dedicated and talented and can be critical of others.
Indigo: Vision, intuition, psychic ability.
Violet and Purple: Seekers, impatient with others, including themselves: have high ideals but can come depressed if ideals not met; someone who needs and seeks spiritual experiences.
Black: color of protection and groundedness, psychic ability; when worn with another color strengthens that color; selective, a quiet strength.
White: Color of spirit and of balance, could also indicate detachment; a person who is hopeful and spiritual; when worn with other colors amplifies those colors.
Brown: Strength and nobility; somebody who is down to earth, practical and helpful, someone who has strong friendships, is a devoted worker but can be overly critical.
Pink: Love, warmth, tenderness, innocence, the impulse to nurture.
Body: associated with the color red.
Mind: associated with the color yellow.
Spirit: associated with the color blue.
How to Interpret an Aura
Dark Red: may symbolize one who has a quick temper and is nervous or impulsive. All red is associated with nervous tendencies.
Muddier Oranges: may represent pride or vanity.
Golden Orange: Self control
A person with orange in their aura may have a kidney problem.
Golden Yellow: the person takes care of him or herself.
Ruddy Yellow: person may be shy.
Green: healer, reliable.
Darker shades of Green: jealous, or uncertain
Deep Blue: may indicate that the person has found their work in life. Often spiritual minded.
Lighter Blue: may represent moodiness and depression.
Indigo and Violet: person may be seeking something in life.
Darker Shades: shows a person may have obstacles to overcome and is feeling misunderstood.
Black: may show that the person is hiding something, may represent imbalances as well.
Pink: love, compassion, beauty.
Muddier or darker shades: immaturity
Brown: person is earthy, establishing new roots. If seen within the chakras it could mean that energy is being blocked.
